 Introduction to Computer:
        
        Computer is derived from Latin word "Computare" to  means    "Calculate", To Count.
  • The basic idea of computing developed in the 1200s.




History of Computer:

  • Roman abacus was developed from devices used in Babylonia as early 2400 BC.

  • The slide rule was invented around 1620–1630, shortly after the publication of the concept of the logarithm. It is a hand-operated analog computer for doing multiplication and division.

  • Blaise Pascal invented Pascaline, a hand powered adding machine in 1642

  • Thomas of Colmar created mechanical calculator that could add, subtract, multiply, and divide. After 1900 golden era started. In 1942, John P. Eckert, John W. Mauchly . John Von Neuman in 1945. In the 1960’s, efforts to develop the fastest possible computer with the greatest capacity reached a turning point.

  • In the 1694 true multiplying calculator appears in Germany developed by “Gottfried Liebnitz”.




Father of Computer:

    Charles Babbage, an English Mechanical Engineer and Polymath, Originated The Concept of a Programmable Computer. Considered the "Father of the Computer” Babbage's Difference Engine. in 1833





What is Computer....?


                 Computer Is a special Machine that perform tasks, such as calculation, data processing and handling, electronic communication etc. Under the control of a set of instructions Called “PROGRAM”.


  •   Computer Is An Electronic Device, That Stores,
    Retrieve, And Processes Data.
  •    A Computer Is A Programmable Machine.
  •    A computer can keep huge amounts of data and save in memory of computer

INFORMATION:


Introduction to Information:
"Information" is an older word that dates back to the 1300s and has Old French and Middle English origins. It has always referred to "the act of informing, " usually in regard to education, instruction, or other knowledge communication.



Definition:
           
When data is processed, organized, structured or presented in a given context so as to make it useful, it is called information.
